First section of Calgary-Cochrane Trail completed

2015-10-26

New hiking and walking trails are always welcome by hikers and walkers alike. Led by the Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation, there is a plan for a new urban trail to connect Calgary to Cochrane. Recently, the 2.2 km Bearspaw Trail linking the west boundary of Calgary’s Haskayne Park with Michael’s Creek in Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park has been completed. This is the most easterly part of the trail that will eventually link Calgary to Cochrane. Work on the western connection from the provincial park to Cochrane will be announced as plans and finances develop.
