To promote greater awareness of water conservation in southern Alberta, a walk is planned from the Saskatchewan border to the headwaters of the Oldman River July 13 to July 28. It’s a 350-kilometre stretch, a daunting task that the Castle-Crown Wilderness Coalition realizes is impractical for any one person or group to tackle. So, the distance is divided into 16 sections of 20-25 kilometres each.

The coalition is encouraging groups to adopt a section. Any number of walkers of a group can divide a section amongst themselves. For safety reasons, the coalition is asking that no more than four people be walking at any one time.
