The AHA was among a number of other clubs and associations that participated in the Trails Fest held on 30 May at the Canmore Nordic Centre.

Among the many interesting displays was one on trail building equipment and fiberglass bridges that Alberta Parks and Environment and Sustainable Resource Development will be trying out.

In addition to learning about the AHA, visitors to the Trails Fest could attend two presentations: Realizing West Bragg Creek All Season Plan, presented by the Greater Bragg Creek Trail Association; and Trans-Canada Trail: High Rockies Linkage, presented by McElhanney Consulting Services. Planning for the latter is complete and construction will start soon. The aim is to have the High Rockies trail from Banff to the B.C. border open by 2016.
