Snowshoeing is an accessible, low impact and high reward way to get out and explore during the winter. Learn important safety tips and things you need to consider when planning and enjoying a snowshoeing trip. We will explore some delightful snowshoeing destinations in Kananaskis Country for a variety of experience levels and discuss important considerations when choosing your trail. Whether you are new to the sport or an experienced snowshoer, this presentation will whet your appetite for winter adventure!

Bio: Tangle McClaron has spent the last decade and a half as an Interpreter and Environmental Educator in Provincial and National Parks across Western Canada. Since 2017, she has worked as Interpretation and Public Education Co-coordinator for the Kananaskis Region with Alberta Parks, inspiring visitors to discover, value and protect this incredible landscape and its inhabitants. Tangle has received multiple Interpretation Canada awards and has collaborated with partner organizations including WildSmart and Friends of Kananaskis on speaker series, public events and volunteer programs. She is passionate about sharing her love for our wild places, provoking curiosity and promoting stewardship and safety.
