The Provincial Trail Map Project Steering Committee has completed the Southern Plains trail map. It is the sixth in a series of 16 regional trail maps that, when complete, will cover the entire province. The maps show all government-approved trails’ motorized, non-motorized and mixed use trails. Maps that have been completed to date are: Northern Rockies, Lakeland, Grand Alberta North, Clearwater and Battle River trails. The new Southern Plains map covers the area southeast of Calgary.
These maps are free of charge. You can pick one up at provincial and local tourism visitor centres, regional Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development and Alberta Park offices, and through Alberta TrailNet’s Edmonton office.
