Northern Lights Walking Club is centered in Leduc and coordinates twice weekly walks across the region. The region includes: Wetaskiwin, Millet, Beaumont, Camrose, south Edmonton and Leduc.

Great News. Grooming is back in K Country?
Yesterday the Government of Alberta announced $1 million for trails and recreation improvements in David Thompson Country. While the Alberta Hiking Association has long called for more resources to support recreation uses and mitigate impacts created by all users, the majority (three quarters) of the new funds appear to be directed for primarily motorized users.
Hikers - if you use the beautiful Bighorn Backcountry please complete the following Clearwater County survey and let them know what your favorite trails are, and what improvements and investments you would like to see for better management and to protect the environment,
The survey of hikers by AHA in March and April gives a clear picture of what Alberta hikers want: more trails, better maintenance, and separation from motorized traffic.
UPC say they will save $5 million.
